Research and Development

SMPA announced on 12 August, 2026, that the first patient has undergone implantation in a U.S. Phase 1/2 clinical study of an allogeneic iPSC-derived retinal sheet (3D retina) for the treatment of non-syndromic retinitis pigmentosa (RP).
