Functional analysis of adrenocorticotropic-hormone–producing pituitary cells derived from human pluripotent stem cells in murine and primate models of hypopituitarism

RACTHERA Co., Ltd. announced that, in collaboration with the Nagoya University Graduate School of Medicine and other research institutions, it has reported that transplantation of human pluripotent stem cell (hPSC)-derived pituitary-hypothalamic organoids into subcutaneous tissue restored hormone production in animal models of hypopituitarism (mice and cynomolgus macaques).

This represents the world’s first report demonstrating the efficacy of pituitary-hypothalamic organoid transplantation in a non-human primate model. Please refer to the attached materials for further details.
